The Beginner Bootcamp workshop is limited to ONLY 8 people so students can feel at ease in a small group environment where they can take risks and try new things! In this class, you will learn:

Class Requirements:

1. Previous acting experience is not required for this class, but you must have a sincere desire to learn and a respectful attitude towards your fellow classmates and the instructor.
2. You must have a webcam and a light source so we can see your face during class.
3. A dedicated microphone is recommended, but if you can’t acquire one, please make sure your built-in microphone is working on your device and that you are in a private room with no noise in the background!
   The most ideal solution is a USB or XLR microphone, but a headset microphone will also work. We can recommend the Sennheiser PC 8 USB Headset or something with similar features. Again, if you must attend class without a microphone, your space must be private and quiet with no background noise.
4. You must be wearing headphones. (If you are using a headset microphone, the headphones are already built into the structure of the headset.)
5. No Smart Glasses please. Out of respect for student privacy, we ask that you refrain from wearing AI smart glasses like Meta Ray-Bans or anything similar. Anyone wearing smart glasses in class will be asked to change them. Failure to do so will result in ejection from class and your tuition will not be refunded.

Technical Requirements:

1. Online classes are held using the Zoom.us online webinar system.
   Your computer and internet connection must meet the Minimum System Requirements for Zoom.us.
   Please also check out Zoom’s Getting Started Guide to make sure you have everything set up on your computer correctly. 
2. Your internet connection must have at least a 1.5 Mbps download speed and a 0.6 Mbps upload speed.
   Also, your internet connection must have a Ping number below 100ms.  Click the button below to test your system.

3. We recommend you Download the Zoom.us Software and check your audio settings well before class time. Be prepared!
4. If your system meets all of the above requirements, then you can participate in the Beginner Bootcamp.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Why do I need to wear headphones?
You will need to hear the instructor’s direction clearly during class. Therefore, you will need to wear headphones in order to avoid any feedback or “echo” effects when they give you notes. If you do not use headphones, their comments will come out of speakers whose audio may be picked up by your microphone creating a noisy feedback loop. If you are using a headset microphone, the headphone functionality is built in to the unit.

Is there a minimum age requirement for this class?
No, there is no minimum age requirement for the Beginner Bootcamp. Our only requirement of students is a sincere desire to learn and a respectful attitude towards your fellow classmates and the instructor. All ages are welcome.

I can’t make it to the class I signed up for. Do you offer refunds?
We do not offer refunds if you cannot attend class. Please be sure of your availability before signing up. We have a limited number of spaces available in class and we keep classes small on purpose so we can give the maximum amount of attention to each student. If you don’t show up for class it means you kept someone else from signing up who wanted to be there. If you have an emergency and you absolutely can’t make it to class, please inform us ASAP at classes@voiceactingmastery.com.
